Whenever I visit Asia, it is always a pleasure to tour the provinces. Probably that is because in the rural areas, you will find the beaches which are very nice and refreshing for both locals and tourists. Thailand's beaches are one of the best in the area. But, of course, when you are in the city, you could also count on exciting events that makes urban living worthwhile.
One of the events in Thailand this coming June of 2006 is the UnPlugFest. This event is actually a Bluetooth affair which is open to members of the Bluetooth community. The aim of this Bluetooth event is to gather the numerous engineers specializing in the development of Bluetooth technology and to showcase an exchange of knowledge to verify the operability of their devices and at the same time, to test products before they are released into the market. Unfortunately, this is not really open to the public since the event would involve technical details. On the other hand, this is a great opportunity for the inventors of our time to converge and be able to come up with modern solutions for our modern needs.

Using Bluetooth is a great way to meet people. When I go to malls or parties, I enable the Bluetooth on my new cellphone and see who's at the party. Usually, you will only get lists of nicknames.
From there, I choose whose nicknames I like best or those that are familiar. I send them greeting messages. If they respond, we'd meet up and have a little chat or sometimes a few drinks. With Bluetooth technology, you're sure they're just in the vicinity because of its 10-meter-only range. It's a great way to meet new faces.
