Bluetooth technology is used in most mobile devices to enable fast content exchange. Typically sent via bluetooth are songs, videos, and other media files. Since a phone can be detected via bluetooth, the mobile’s security is vulnerable. Viruses can be sent with the content you receive. You may also accidentally receive other bugs as mobile devices of strangers can detect you as well.
Basics of bluetooth technology
Bluetooth is defined as an open wireless protocol that can exchange data using radio waves over short distances. The exchange occurs from fixed mobile devices. Personal area networks are created when several fixed devices exchange with one another. The most advance form of bluetooth exchange is seen in the Playstation 3, Wii, and the PSP Go. Bluetooth protocols work y simplifying the service setup of the involved devices. They also make identification of other devices easier.
Security risks associated with bluetooth technology
Since short distances are involved, there are security risks to using bluetooth technology. In 2003, Ben and Adam Laurie of AL Digital Ltd. found that personal data can be revealed over bluetooth. This however, came from the inadequate implementations of the technology and not the actual protocol. In 2005, it was discovered that the PIN of a bluetooth link can be obtained during the initial exchange between to devices. Viruses and worms have also been sent from security breaches of bluetooth.
Although bluetooth has its risks, it only takes common sense and not too frequent use to avoid these.

Most modern mobile models include Bluetooth technology in their features. Bluetooth allows individuals to share content such as pictures or music in a matter of seconds. The use of Bluetooth has persisted thanks to its interactivity and speed.
Why bluetooth is perfect for mobile devices
Bluetooth fits in easily as a mobile device feature. Its technology complements the growing memory stored in phones. More people are using phones not only for their call features but also to store media content. You don’t have to bring an mp3 player and your laptop around to have entertainment on the go. With an able phone, you can have your media stored and still share it with other phones. Bluetooth sends the content fast and across various models. Nowadays, you don’t need to have the same phone brand to enjoy each other’s songs or videos.
Top brands that sell mobile devices that use bluetooth
Nokia and Motorola are the top selling brands with a Bluetooth feature. Samsung is also catching up with these dominating brands. The most recommended mobiles are those that had Bluetooth in their models since the earlier days.
Although Bluetooth isn’t as used because of wifi technology, it’s a convenient and free way to send content in an instant. You won’t have a problem looking for mobile devices with this since it is now considered an old technology. Its lingering presence, however, only shows its durability over time. You can get an inexpensive mobile with this feature nowadays and still be technology savvy.

Electronic devices that have the capability to communicate have long been equipped with Bluetooth. This makes it easy to send information from one device to another.
Basic applications for Bluetooth
Bluetooth is well known for being able to transfer files from one device to another. So, you could send files you have in your computer to your mobile phone and vice versa. This way, you can also update your phone directory. You could also use Bluetooth to provide wireless networking for a group of computers. This will require very little bandwidth so transfer of files should be fast and efficient. Bluetooth enables communication to hardware such as a printer and mouse.
Fun things you can do with Bluetooth gadgets
You may forever associate Bluetooth with fast and easy file transfer. Bluetooth, however, can also be fun because of its connectivity. Seventh generation game consoles from Nintendo and Sony actually make use of Bluetooth technology to enable their wireless controllers. So, Bluetooth can be more powerful than just being able to send files for a few seconds. It can sustain connection.
There are a lot more to discover about Bluetooth technology. Normally, people think about Bluetooth when they cannot find an external hard drive to save files that they want to transfer to another device. Bluetooth technology, however, has more interesting functions than that.

Bluetooth 3.0 is a new innovation in wireless transfer that also promises a drastic reduction in energy consumption by your gadget when no transfer is occurring. It is officially called the Bluetooth Core Specification Version 3.0 High Speed (HS).
What exactly is Bluetooth 3.0?
Bluetooth 3.0 is a Bluetooth specification that comes with theoretical transfer speeds of 24 MB/s. This was adopted by Bluetooth Sig on April 21, 2009. While high speed transfer is the main draw to this new innovation, one drawback is the high energy consumption when transferring data, which means that the device needs to be plugged in more often.
Where Bluetooth 3.0 can be used
Bluetooth 3.0 is ideal for high-speed transfers. The transfer of data is made faster with this new version, and also features the ability to use alternative radio antennas. The increase in transfer speeds to 24 MB/s, up from 3 MB/s in the current 2.1 EDR version comes from using the faster 802.11 radio used by most Bluetooth devices today. Bluetooth 3.0 is also backwards compatible with earlier versions.
Because of these features, it is expected that Bluetooth 3.0 will become the main mode of wireless transfer adopted into future Bluetooth-compatible devices.

This is how to be generous: share. Share whatever you have with those who don't have it. Share luscious food, money, clothes, your movies, and mp3 downloads. You can also share your spouse if you want. You know how to take jokes, right? The latest way of sharing today is through Bluetooth. This is how techy people share. To all techy peasants, don't worry I'll teach you how to use it. I was also a techy peasant so I know how you feel. Bluetooth sharing is the technological way of being generous, and it's really fun.

In sharing your latest downloaded mp3s, which are in your mobile phone, you must first make sure that your phone is Bluetooth accessible. It's usually found in your Connectivity folder. Ask your friend to turn his Bluetooth on, then select the songs you want to share with him by marking them all. Press send and select via Bluetooth. Afterwards, all you have to do is to wait for him to receive it. Sending any music via Bluetooth is fun, plus it's free. Your load will never be deducted.

I'm calling all the people in the world. Practice Bluetooth sharing now because it is free. You can download anything you want on your mobile phone and send them to your friends. Your friends might send you a thank you message for it (via Bluetooth, too). Or, if you want you can put some music to that boring life of yours by asking your friends to send you their latest downloads. Practice using Bluetooth technology while you enjoy Bluetooth sharing.

Wires are already outdated. In our current technological life, dialing with your hands is even outdated. What's hot is dialing through your nose. Just kidding! But, if you don't have hands, you can use your nose (no offense for disabled people). Anyway, we are in the hands-free world where everything we do, the machine does it for us. This is human discovery and laziness (really). But, I have to admit that even I am captivated by this new technology, and recently I bought a new Parrot CK3100 car kit.
Monday, May 7. 2007
Through this car kit, I am able to dial as well as receive any call with safety and convenience. This is a hands-free device that is ran by Bluetooth. You can connect it with your car stereo and your cellular phone so that when you have a call, your stereo will automatically turn into mute mode. It has a voice recognition feature that allows the system to work without the touch of your hands. It is compatible with any brand, so you don't have to worry about it.
Sunday, May 6. 2007
Parrot CK3100 is a need of every people. This is not a want because the current traffic rule says that you are not allowed to use your cellular phone while driving. But, what if you really need to make an emergency call? This is where Parrot car kit becomes important. It provides a caller ID, and a large and clear digits for your eyes' comfort. You can dial and answer a call just by speaking. This way, your driving is safe and secured. I wish they also create such device for my new Yamaha 2006 FZ1.

We techie people need to ride with technology's fast pace because if we don't we won't be able to catch up with life's greatest gifts--technological gadgets. We are also busy people and I know you hate wires (like I do), so it's better to get rid of them. Live a wireless life to ensure convenience in everything that you do. There's really nothing wrong with new stuff like bluetooth-ran printers. Aren't you happy you can now print more than a thousand photos?

ABC News reported that Apple has released its latest mouse model, which is powered by bluetooth, that is more convenient to any computer user. Among the various digital gadgets that Apple has created, this mouse is considered as one of their excellent technological masterpieces. Yup, your ears are right. A masterpiece of Apple Inc. And like Eve, this Apple mouse will tempt all PC buyers who want to put some elegance on their computer table.
Tuesday, May 1. 2007
You can use this wireless computer mouse as single-button or a multi-button mouse. If you are a left-handed person, it's not a problem anymore because technology is running as fast as it can to solve simple human predicaments like yours. It is also a scroll mouse that allows you to enjoy scrolling its scroll balls. You can use this bluetooth mouse even if you are in the bath room. This mouse functions up to 30 feet away.
Monday, April 30. 2007
Apple wireless mouse benefits those who are too lazy (like me) to go near their computer. It actually allows you to work while you are cooking or you are vegging in your bed. Its elegance and style surely reaches the peak of the bluetooth technology in relation to computer mouse, but this technology will never stop from growing. That is why I collect old ones with the hope that someday I could invent a grand computer mouse evolution gallery.

In 2012, we'll be lucky to see passengers and drivers surfing the web or checking their e-mails on trains, airplanes, cars, SUVs and motorcycles. The wireless technology called Bluetooth that is currently being used in laptops, Pocket PCs, and personal digital assistants will soon be employed in ordinary vehicles that we see on the road. There would be no need to drop by an Internet cafe to use the Internet. This will be the literal meaning of Internet on the go.
Saturday, April 28. 2007
But I think device makers cannot wait until 2012. The Garmin company recently introduced a Bluetooth-enabled GPS navigator that will aid motorcycle drivers to find an alternate road. This hands-to-helmet technology allows users to find the traffic-free routes using their gloved hands while they accelerate the vehicle with their other hands. They can also connect their phones, and headsets to the Bluetooth-enabled helmet so they can make calls or send instant messages even while driving.
Friday, April 27. 2007
Having the technology applied to our modern motorcycles can be great, but using Bluetooth to talk to someone over the phone while driving is a dangerous idea. If you want to use your phone, better park your big bike first, unless you want to make a call about an accident. The good thing about this Zumo gadget is the MP3 player packaged with it so users can jam to their favorite songs while driving. Zumo will be out in the market this October.
